ASL Religious Education

St. Andrew's is proud to serve the population of Catholic Deaf students attending W.S.D.  We offer religious education to all students from lower elementary to seniors in high school.  Classes are taught in American Sign Language (ASL) so the students have full access to learning about God's love in their native language.

For many of the students attending classes with us, they are learning the Good News of Salvation for the first time!  Each class progresses in different levels.

We prepare the students for the First Reconciliation / Confession, (the students confess to a priest who is Deaf and can sign), First Eucharist / Communion, and Confirmation.  The students also experience two Deaf Masses each year where the entire mass is in ASL by a Deaf priest.
