Mission and Philosophy

Mission Statement

St. Andrew Parish School Committee, the school’s governing body, has issued the following Mission Statement for St. Andrew Parish School:

“We, the Parish School, a vital component of St. Andrew Parish, are striving in our pursuit of excellence in education to become more aware that we are a family of God, guided by the Holy Spirit. Because we are Christians, we join our fellow parishioners in establishing the following priorities for our school:
·        Proclaiming the message of Jesus through our daily lives;
·        Celebrating with our parish families, prayerful and inspirational liturgies;
·        Offering opportunities for religious education and Christian formation to all families;
·        Being a welcoming and caring part of the parish community;
·        Responding to human needs within our school, our parish, and our community;
·        Involving ourselves on issues of social justice at home and globally;
·        Sharing our talents and resources;
·        Being open to ecumenical exchange, studies and celebrations;
·        Preparing students to meet future academic challenges.
And through all of these, we are grateful to God for giving us the opportunity and grace to serve.”

Philosophy of Education

St. Andrew Parish School seeks to foster and develop the student’s moral and spiritual growth, physical and psychological development, academic and cultural advancement, and the qualities that will prepare them as Christians to be useful, productive, and caring citizens of the community.
