Staff Member: Michele Raykovich
I am Michele Raykovich and I began my St. Andrew's teaching career in 1991. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA degree in Elementary Education and Fine Arts. I became an educator because I want to provide high quality educational programs to my students in a nurturing Catholic environment. I want to instill Christian values in my students that will enable them to be all that they can be. I want my classroom to be a community of learners where my students will be encouraged to question and discover. I will provide positive learning opportunities that will engage my students in activities so that they can feel the joy when the "light bulb goes off." I want each student to understand that learning never ends. My wish is that each of my students will continue to question, discover, grow, and share their knowledge with others.
My husband Jeff and I, along with our English Springer Spaniel Bella live in the Elkhorn area. Our grown children, Nick (Emily) and Andrea have finished college and are out working and living in the "Real World!" Even though my children are living farther away from us, we get together often to celebrate the important events in each others lives such as birthdays, holidays, special family gatherings, and "just because days! "Of course all "grand-pets" are included. Nick & Emily have their dog "Cogs." Cogs knows exactly where the treats are located at our house and Andrea's cat "Vino" often stays over when Andrea is traveling for work.
