Dear 4th Grade Students and Families,
I am ecstatic to begin a new year at St. Andrew’s Parish School. I am positive that the many experiences your child has had at St. Andrew’s will be a solid foundation for success and growth in 4th Grade.
I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2006, with my B.S. in Educational Foundations, Special Education and Music. I am passionate about incorporating music and movement to maximize learning, focus, and engagement! In 2008, I pursued my Masters of Teaching from the University of Portland, graduating on the Dean’s List.
My 11 years in the classroom teaching has been diverse, both in subject area and location. I have taught in both the state or Oregon and Wisconsin, ranging from 3K to 8th grade! I feel confident that my experience will help inspire young minds to grow, explore and mature. My husband, Andy, and I are both honored to be educators and are blessed to have our children attend St. Andrew’s this year. Gideon will be in 1st Grade, and Anya, who will be in Kindergarten.
I am excited to develop hands-on STREAM learning themes that will allow your child to extend their curiosity and inquiry. I value my students’ feelings and interests and aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.
I hope that our classroom will foster a love for learning and a place to model the teachings of Christ through kindness, acceptance, and love. Our class will learn the motto, “Let your light shine” as we prepare to be examples of God’s light to everyone.
