Maintaining Our Heritage - Building Our Future

The Buildings and Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all our parish facilities: the church, the school, and the rectory as well as the grounds surrounding these buildings together with the parking lot. Both volunteer labor and contracted services perform regular maintenance, building repairs and the attendant lawn and yard work, as well as any other tasks that arise. In addition the Buildings & Grounds Committee is responsible for any improvements of our facilities that will prolong and/or enhance their value and use by the parish. The committee develops a priority list for maintenance, improvements, and other tasks and then makes budget recommendations on these to the Parish Finance Council.  The Buildings & Grounds Committee normally meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00PM in the Parish Rectory.  Meeting dates and/or times may change due to scheduling conflicts, so always check the Parish Calendar.

We can always use volunteers with knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gardening and such. While you may not always be able to attend our regular meetings, your knowledge, skills and/or advice can be very helpful as various projects and specific needs arise.  We’re always looking for volunteers to help with on-going weeding tasks and our big spring and fall cleanups.
