Note: 5th-8th graders enrolled and attending St. Andrew Wisdom Wednesdays are eligible to play sports on the St. Andrew Parish team during the 2021-22 school year. There are only two scheduled classes per month and attendance is very important. If a student who is playing a sport on a St. Andrew team misses a Wednesday class, he or she can attend the next week's class at St. Patrick. If he or she does not attend either of those classes, he or she will NOT be eligible to play in the games until they attend the next class at St. Andrew. This includes all tournament games.

9th-12th graders registered at Saint Andrew will have class two Sundays a month from 6:00-7:45 at Saint Andrews Church. We will begin with a regular weekend Mass and will teach the lessons afterwards.
9th-12th graders registered at Saint Patrick will have class two Wednesdays a month from 7:00-8:45 at St. Patrick Church. We will begin with a Mass and then have our class.
**if a St. Andrew student needs to miss class on Sunday, he or she is expected to come to St. Patrick on Wednesday and if a St. Patrick student needs to miss on Wednesday, he or she is expected to come to St. Andrew on the previous Sunday. The lessons will be the same at both parishes.
We will continue using the approved Pflaum Gospel Weeklies for many of the grade levels. These lessons relate to the Gospel and other readings for that specific weekend.
It is especially important that all who attend our classes are registered.
Children in grades K-12th are all welcome and encouraged to join us for our Wisdom Wednesday/Weekend faith formation classes. Children celebrating Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion and/or Confirmation, please read the following very carefully. These sacraments are wonderful gifts given to us to bring us closer to Christ! It is especially important to learn about the sacrament and understand them prior to experiencing them.
Baptism
School aged children who are preparing to be baptized must be enrolled in our Wisdom Wednesday/Weekend faith formation classes. Once the child has regularly attended the required classes, the Baptism celebration will be scheduled at a time near the end of his or her first year of classes.
Parents will also have a required class if they have not previously celebrated Baptism with one of his or her older children within the required timeline.
First Reconciliation and First Communion
Students in 2nd grade and beyond are eligible to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Communion if the requirements have been met. Students must have attended classes in a Catholic faith formation program for two consecutive school years prior to celebrating First Communion. First Reconciliation may be celebrated at the end of the first year of preparation depending on everyone’s readiness.
Confirmation
There is a two-year requirement for those teenagers preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. Students may enroll for our year one preparation when they are sophomores or juniors in high school. Confirmation is celebrated at the end of the second year of preparation either as a junior or a senior. Attendance, a Confirmation retreat during year two (junior year or senior year), & completed paperwork are required before Confirmation can be celebrated.
Sacramental Preparation
It is never too late to receive the special sacraments available in the Catholic Church. Students who are preparing for First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation, must be enrolled in a Faith Formation program for at least two years. For more information, please contact us.
